And so you're asking, "Sounds great. What does it cost?"
If you're an in-scope nonprofit, we will give you power level hosting for approximately $12 per month.
And now you're asking, "Great. How am I going to pay for that?"
We think the right question really is,"How are we going to pay for that?" That's not difficult. One way is to ask twleve donors to donate $12 each. They would be sponsoring your website for one month of the year. How you thank them (like a sponsor's page or a thank you note) is entirely up to you. We'll give you your first month's of hosting free. We can help you set up your first four pages and "get going" for free -- if you're in our scope. Even better -- ask twelve donors for $20 each. (yes, this means that your website will actually net your organization some revenue, instead of appearing as a drain on revenue.)
Your real challenge is not technology. It's defining your message, aligning your objectives, and getting your board members, volunteers, and supporters attuned to using the web to promote and support the work of your organization.
If you want to get on the web today, we'll take care of it, without expensive software, full-time paid staffers, or any other "technology" obstacle you think you have. By the way, we do support embedded video and flash (like the animation at the top of the page) on your site pages.
You may be asking, "What's an in-scope' nonprofit?"
Well, you must be a nonprofit which is a domestic US nonprofit organization.
You must be operated for a nonprofit purpose. In addition, we prefer nonprofits that we find to be "life-affirming" and may also serve the interests of education, children, patriotism, faith-based, or similar purposes. We seem to tend toward nonprofits that are grassroots organizations. If you qualify as a core nonprofit, we may be able to give you some pro-bono help. We can help you get started, and then you merely need to keep your pages up to date and manage your content.
