An even easier way to customize text and other features is to select a Template that supports this as a feature.

Chara and Sirius and some of the Polaris designs support a Customization feature that appears in the upper left of the screen.

Select Customize

At the bottom of your admin view an additional area will appear that allows you to customize the appearance of text using the tags in the CSS -- like "plain" "Plain Large" etc.

On these templates you can also customize the appearance of the off-page background. On some templates this is a prominent feature of the design.

Option A. You can manage the DNS for your domain from the registrar's website

Login to your registrar's website with the username and password for your domain management account.

Locate the option for DNS Management (different registrars may use different names for it, e.g. DNS Control).

Set the IP (A record) of your domain to IP 72.20.110.40 .

Create an alias (CNAME record) "www" pointing the record you created.

To do this, you need to create an html snippet with the CSS you want to use.

Then you have to double-check to make sure your template lets you do this (many do but some do not)

Then you need to judisciously insert the html snippet in an area after the site header -- like a section group or content area.

When I have done this I have noticed that sometimes it affects all the material after it, while other times it does not affect older sections.

If you puit it in the wrong place (like too high on teh page) you could have results you did not expect... Good luck.

When I want to change the text color in my site, i find that I can't readily change it very well. is there a way to do this?

Go to the tutorials section, and about midway down the page is a link to a tutorial that will show you step-by-step how to update your DNS settings on the interface used by larger domain registrars.

Your DNS has two components -- and the mail settings are seperate from those for your website. The mail settings are part of your MX record, which should not be affected.

How do I set my domain name server record for my account? I've done this before but I forget... also if I have email on this domain name, will I accidentally mess up my email settings?
